We always strive to source both grass-fed and organic dairy. However, sometimes due to specific rules around certification it can’t be classified as organic even though it may be. When we must choose between the two, we prioritise grass-fed dairy due to the superior nutritional benefits it provides. Grass-fed cows produce milk that's richer in beneficial fatty acids and nutrients, which translates directly to better ice cream that's better for you.​​

Raw honey is classified as honey that is never heated above hive temperature or pasteurised. This allows it to retain all of the beneficial enzymes, antioxidants and antibacterial compounds that are not present in processed honey.

Our dairy is sourced from Charnwood Forest Farm in Leicestershire. We prioritise British grass-fed dairy because it contains higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and vitamins compared to conventionally raised dairy. We've partnered with a farm that shares our commitment to animal welfare and quality. Supporting British farmers is at the heart of what we do.​​

While 'healthy' can be subjective, we believe Honest Scoop can be considered a health food because it's packed with protein, vitamins, and minerals from quality dairy and raw honey. It's minimally processed and contains absolutely no artificial ingredients, refined sugar, or chemical additives. We've created ice cream that nourishes your body while satisfying your cravings, you and your family can indulge without the guilt that comes from consuming ultra-processed foods packed with potentially harmful ingredients.

Our ice cream has a best before date of six months from when the batch is made. However, because it contains absolutely no artificial preservatives or stabilisers to prolong shelf life, we recommend consuming it within six to eight weeks of opening to enjoy it exactly the way we intended, at peak freshness and flavour.​
